Torrent php runner1/13/2024 (I doubt this is the problem, since it seems like you can access torrentflux. If they are set to something wrong, like "drwxr-x-" then you need to fix that with "chmod" like: The important part is that those directories are readable and executable by everyone. The above commands should return something like:ĭrwxr-xr-x 12 username username 4096 16:23 torrentflux/ If that doesn't work, then check the parent directories and make sure they are accessible by torrentflux, too: Mkdir /var/www/torrentflux/downloads/files/Īnd see if torrentflux will accept the path "/var/www/torrentflux/files/" (don't forget that trailing slash!). As I say, if I wanted to manually feed it the *.torrent file it works but that kinda takes away from the 'ease of use' when you can't utilize the built-in search and download functions. I thought you may be interested in my experience. I'll continue to use uTorrent on my Vista box for torrent downloading. I decided this system wasn't for me and completely uninstalled the thing this morning. My search engine scripts had the same version number as those in the forums. Downloaded the latest piratebay search engine php script, still has same error. I went to the forums and downloaded the latest torrentspy search engine script, same thing. Searching at the other sites produces results, but I am unable to download ANY torrent, all I get is:Įrror getting the file (), Could be a Dead URL Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS expecting T_FUNCTION in /usr/share/torrentflux/www/searchEngines/PirateBayEngine.php on line 833 I can't do any searches at PirateBay without an error: After that is shows up in the queue, I activate it, it downloads and seeds fine. The system "works" as long as I download and save the *.torrent file and then manually upload it to the web interface. I used synaptic package manager to do the installation, and I already had a working LAMP system. I thought I would give Torrent-Flux I try.
